- Brand name justification This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT per FAR6.302-1(c), circumstances permitting other than full and open competition - application for brand name descriptions. The Department of Defense (DoD), Washington Headquarters Services, Acquisition Directorate, (WHS/AD) intends to award a sole source contract to Cisco Systems, Inc., 170 West Tasman Dr., San Jose, CA 95134. This procurement is for Cisco's Unified Contact Center Express upgrade to the Premium Edition. This edition is required to support the OIG Hotline and the Helpdesk with an industry standard call queuing system. The contract must be a Cisco Certified Gold Partner. The Justification and Approval is attached. The Government anticipates a Firm Fixed Price Contract for a period of performance of 12 months. This notice of intent is for informational purposes only, therefore, no solicitation will result from this announcement. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by responding to this requirement to Candace Noel, Contract Specialist, via email: candace.e.noel.civ@mail.mil, no later than 11:00 am Eastern, 21 August, 2013. All information submitted should support the offeror's capability to provide the required services, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be in writing and must provide clear and concise documentation indicating an offeror's bona fide capability to provide these services. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. The Government reserves the right to cancel the sole source award. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541519, Information Technology Value Added Resellers, Small Business Size Standard 150 employees.
