All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly.? In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.? Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is conducting market research on Hospital Accreditation Services. This Sources Sought Notice is a market research tool used to determine the adequacy of eligible organizations prior to determining the acquisition strategy and issuance of an RFQ. The NAICS code for the subject effort is 813920 Professional Organizations. VA requires its Hospitals, Community Living Centers (CLC) also known by some accrediting bodies as Long Term Care (LTC), Home Care programs, Laboratories, Behavioral Health Care, Ambulatory Care, Opioid Treatment Programs (OTP), Partial Hospitalization and Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacies (CMOP) to be accredited by a professional association or nongovernmental agency. Also, additional specialty programs such as Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) may be added in the future. VA requires their healthcare accreditation to be accepted by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the American College of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). The accreditation shall be recognized by Academic Institutions as an authorized accrediting body for health care operations. The accreditation shall assure educational institutions of the safety and quality of healthcare provided by institution.?The proposed organization shall be a Substance Abuse and Mental Healthcare Services and Administration (SAMHSA) approved Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) accrediting body. VA is requesting oral presentations from interested organizations the week of August 26, 2013. Presentations will be scheduled on a first come first serve basis. Presentations will be done virtually via Microsoft Live Meeting or other reasonable means of communication. Each organization will be allotted a two hour time slot. If your organization is interested in presenting to the VA program office please contact Contract Specialist Beth Davis at beth.davis2@va.gov. Your response is requested before Tuesday August 20th at 5:00pm, please respond directly to this email address beth.davis2@va.gov.? Presentations should demonstrate the organizations capability to meet the accreditation requirement of the VA including transitioning from the previous accreditation organization, if applicable. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, NO SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME.
