- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. NOTICE: Only local sources will be considered under this Request for Proposal (RFP). Local sources are sources (e.g. corporations or partnerships) that are physically located in Japan and authorized (i.e. licensed and registered) to perform in Japan, the type of work specified in the solicitation. Specifically, a prospective offeror must be duly authorized to operate and conduct business in Japan and must fully comply with all laws, decrees, labor standards, and regulations of Japan during the performance of the resulting contract. In addition, prior to award of the contract, offeror must be registered with the Government of Japan to do construction work in Japan and possess necessary construction licenses and permits to perform work required under the solicitation. PROJECT INFORMATION: The objective of this project is to stabilize eroded slope to secure the area and protect the environment around Gate 21, Range 9, at the Central Training Area, Okinawa, Japan. Action is required to prevent further erosion. See RFP for additional details.
