- Subsistence Items Subsistence SF-1449 Subsistence Cover Letter The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution Gilmer, WV, intends to issue a solicitation for the provision of various Subsistence products. The contract period shall consist of the first quarter of fiscal year 2014 (October - December). The solicitation will be made available on/about August 15, 2013 and will be distributed solely through this website. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides downloading instructions to obtain all documents relating to this solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including the solicitation and any subsequent amendments, will be distributed through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the website to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. The date for receipt of quotations is on September 5, 2013. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the System for Acquisition Management (SAM) database. The website for registration is www.sam.gov. The anticipated date of award is September 13, 2013, with an effective award date of October 1, 2013.
