- THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION INFORMATION ONLY Pre-Solicitation Notice: Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Public Works Department (PWD), Bahrain intents to conduct a competitive procurement for a Contractor to Design Build a prefabricated structure (new facility) for School Age Children (SAC) at the premises of DODDs Bahrain School, Juffair Bahrain. The total area of the facility is approximately 3,500 square feet and includes entrance/reception, administrative office, activity room, toilets, computer room and snack bar. Work includes but is not limited to foundations, roofing, plumbing, HVAC, site preparation, mechanical and electrical utilities, Fire Protection Systems, interior finishes, exterior closures, electrical power and lighting. It also includes site preparation, demolition, grading, earthwork, relocation of manholes and utilities. Building Requirements: Design build a prefabricated structure with a minimum of 3,500 SF. Provide dedicated water tank, module length approximately 40x11x16. Roof Warranty 20 years. Project magnitude is between $500,000 and $1 million. NAFAC PWD, Bahrain plans to award one firm fixed price (FFP) construction contract. The FFP will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose proposal conforms to the solicitation and will offer the "Lowest Price Technically Acceptable" to the government. Offerors must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) prior to proposal submissions at www.sam.gov. The Request for Proposal and its attached documents is expected to be posted on or around the end of September of 2013 under Solicitation Number N33191-13-R-1420. Offerors are not required to submit a bid/proposal as a result of this Pre-Solicitation Notice.
