W91ZLK-13-T-0272 SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS The U.S. Army Contracting Command (ACC), Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Tenant Division located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, is seeking information on businesses that can provide the below described scientific equipment. This is a market survey for information only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS, AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of businesses that can support this requirement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 334519, Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: Computer Controlled Brake Actuator. The Computer Controlled Brake Actuator consists of two major parts, the electronics box and the brake servo actuator. The electronics box contains a microcontroller section and a power section. The brake servo actuator is a linear-acting unit with integral load cell and position encoder. Together, the electronics box and actuator will provide closed loop control for brake pedal travel, application force or vehicle deceleration. The system shall meet the performance requirements described in Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) 105, 121 and FMVSS 135 as well as International Standards Organization (ISO) 21994. 1.Electronics Box maximum number of inputs: 8 2.Electronics Box Input Type: voltage 3.Electronics Box sample rate maximum: 1000 Hz per input 4.Electronics Box input and output have full galvanic isolation 5.Electronics Box minimum number of counter inputs: 1 6.Electronics Box maximum number of outputs: 6 7.Electronics Box analog outputs for parameters; pedal travel, pedal force, deceleration, trigger event and speed. 8.Electronics Box required input voltage: 10-18 Volts Dc 9.Electronics Box must contain enough batteries to power the attached servo motor. 10.Brake Servo Actuator shall be a minimum quote mark ball screw type. 11.Brake Servo Actuator shall contain integral load cell for application force measurement and control. 12.Brake Servo Actuator shall contain an integral position encoder for the measurement and control of actuator position. 13.Brake Servo Actuator shall provide a maximum static force of 450 pounds. 14.Brake Servo Actuator shall have a maximum speed of 50 inches per second. 15.Brake Servo Actuator shall include a seat frame assembly for mounting. 16.Interconnect cables between units shall be provided. 17.Maximum Electronics Box weight of 25 pounds.
