- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE 15 August 2013 The 502d Contracting Squadron, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, hereby formally announces the intent to award a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis to BAE Systems for SOCET GXP Geoanalysis Bundle Part#: 4004-C and SOCET GXP Commercial Pro Bundle Part#: 4014-C for a base plus 4(1) year options on JBSA Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Air Force intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1). This acquisition is a new requirement. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
