- Description
- The Military Sealift Command (MSC) intends to issue a solicitation for the time charter of one vessel to serve as a host/support ship for Naval Special Warfar/Special Operations Forces (NSW/SOF). The time charter shall be for a firm period of one year commencing on or about 01 December 2014, with three one-year options and one 11-month option. The vessel shall host hyperbaric chamber services for emergencies and routine decompression operations, replenishment/minor maintenance support, personnel support for up to 25 embarked persons, transportation of combat submersibles, and launch and recovery of combat craft/submersibles; specific vessel requirements will be identified in the solicitation. It is anticipated the vessel will be based in Pearl Harbor, HI, with principal operations occuring in HI, the US West Coast, and Guam; however, operations may be worldwide. It is anticipated the solicitation will be available late August 2013. When the solicitation is available, this notice will be amended to include a copy of the solicitation and any attachments. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by MSC.
