- J-6_SF-1413 J-5_Food Storage Order J-4_Project Drawings J-3_Special Project Specifications AG-03K0-S-13-0010 AG-03K0-S-13-0010 Project Title - LEWIS & CLARK NATIONAL FOREST: Badger-Two Medicine Road/Trail Conversion, Phase II NAICS: 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction PSC: Y1PA, Construction of Recreation facilities (non-building) Description of Work: This project includes work on approximately 12 miles of trail. The work involves stabilization of the existing trail to prevent erosion, and the conversion of trail segments into single track trail. Some trail segments will be obliterated; other new, rerouted segments will be constructed. Work shall take place on portions of the following trails: 1. Two Medicine Heart Butte Trail #101 2. Summit Campground Cutoff Trail #133 3. Elk Calf Mountain Trail #137 The successful Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies, and incidentals to complete the work. Note: It is estimated that work will begin on approximately 15 July 2014; all work must be completed no later than 30 September 2014. Work will not be allowed during the General Rifle Season (typically starting the 3rd Saturday of October and Continuing through the 4th Sunday of November). Project Location: The project is located on the Lewis & Clark National Forest, Rocky Mountain Ranger District, in Glacier County, Montana. Specific area location is within the Badger-Two Medicine area of the Rocky Mountain Front. Directions from East Glacier, MT: Travel on Montana Hwy 2 west to Marias Pass. At Marias Pass, turn into the Forest Service Summit Campground, situated on the south side of the road. The project begins on Forest Service Trail #133, which intersects the Summit Campground road loop. Price Range: Between $25,000 and $100,000. A Firm-Fixed Price contract is expected to result from this solicitation. Pre-bid Tour: No pre-bid tour will be conducted. Interested bidders may contact the Rocky Mountain Ranger District at 406-466-5341, or Gary Allison at the Lewis & Clark National Forest, Supervisor's Office (406-791-7762) for additional information. Contractors are urged to inspect the project site where the work will be performed. Interested parties shall take reasonable steps to ascertain the nature and location of the project area and the work to be completed, as well as the general and local site conditions which can affect the work and cost of performance. Failure to take the actions described in this paragraph will not relieve the Contractor from the responsibility of properly estimating the difficulty and cost to successfully perform the work, or from successful completion of the work without additional expense to the Government.
