- This is not a solicitation. No award will be made as a result of this request. This request is for informational purposes only. This sources sought synopsis neither constitutes a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Invitation for Bid (IFB). This sources sought synopsis should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. All interested parties are encouraged to respond to this sources sought. The Government will not pay for information and/or materials received in response to this sources sought and is in no way obligated by the information received. Purpose: To identify potential sources for the sale and disposition of an Airbus 300 and associated range debris. Background: The U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center located at the Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD has an Airbus 300 aircraft for sale and disposition. The Airbus 300 was used for Government testing and is not a functional plane. The Airbus 300 and associated range debris must be removed by 23 Sept 2013 to make space for a new test asset. Removal of the Airbus and associated debris shall be done in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. Security and safety regulations shall be followed. A picture of the Airbus 300 is enclosed. Instructions: Request interested parties send a response to RFI to Kathleen.l.wissler.civ@mail.mil no later than 5 PM Thursday 22 August 2013. For planning purposes, please confirm that you would or would not be willing to pay for the Airbus 300 and associated debris. Respondent Information: Respondents should provide, at a minimum: name, address and CAGE code of the interested company or organization; business size (SB, 8a, SDVOSB, etc.); contact information for the primary POC; and a brief description of the potential offeror's company/organization.
