- Colville National Forest, Kettle Crest North Trail #13 Trail (KCNRT), Three Rivers Ranger District in the Ferry County, Washington State. The Three Rivers Ranger District on the Colville National Forest will be replacing a puncheon structure with a turnpike on the Kettle Crest North Trail #13 Trail (KCNRT). The project is located along the KCNRT approximately 4.4 miles north along the trail from Deer Creek Summit (County Road 602- Boulder Deer Creek Highway). The project is approximately 26 miles west of Kettle Falls, WA and 106 miles NW of Spokane, WA. The Contractor shall furnish all management, labor, equipment, supervision, tools, materials, transportation, operating supplies, supervision, workman's compensation, unemployment insurance and incidentals necessary to perform the work in accordance with the specification and provisions of the contract. The project consists of removing the existing demolished puncheon materials from the site and installing 345 linear feet of turnpike. Work includes, but is not limited to removal of stockpiled puncheon materials from site, mobilization of personnel and materials (including gravel and retainer logs) to site, and the construction of the turnpike. The only materials that can be used onsite are required to be within the trail corridor. All other materials will need to be mobilized to the site. The project timeframe is estimated to be September 15, 2013 through September 30, 2014. The project is estimated between $25,000 to be $100,000. The awarded contractor will have to provide a payment bond. This project will be advertised as a written request for quotes. The Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be used. Estimated issue date of the solicitation is on or about August 15, 2013. The actual due date for proposals will be listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be posted on this site. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. NAICS code is 237990 size standard is $33.5 million. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered. An electronic copy of the solicitation will be posted at this site on the issue date.
