- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command intends to place a sole-source firm fixed price order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-10-G-0006 with The Raytheon Company (Raytheon) for the extension of the existing APG-79 Field Service Representative (FSR) located at the the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) base at Amberly Australia, through the Foreign Military Sales Program. The period of performance will be 1 January 2014 through 31 December 2014 with an option for calendar year 2015. The projected contract action is for supplies and/or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1. No solicitation document exists. Raytheon is the designer, developer and manufacturer of the APG-79 radar; and as such, is the only known firm with the knowledge, experience, and technical expertise required to accomplish this effort. This is an announcement only regarding a sole source acquisition.
