Description
This is a notice of the Government's intent to award a sole source contract to COSMED, USA Inc. to establish the Fort Drum Army Wellness Center by procuring the COSMED Body Composition Unit (Bod Pod) and the COSMED Metabolic Analyzer and Sub Max V02 Testing Device (Fitmate Pro). The COSMED Metabolic Analyzer and Sub Max V02 Testing Device (Fitmate Pro) was selected for the following specifications: Capability of calculating BMR and submax V02 on one machine for healthy nutrition assessments and fitness assessments. Single portable unit to be able to perform assessments in various locations, especially during unit assessments. Built in printer to be able to print results for clients during the session and for charting purposes in AHLTA and client records. Built in display to allow selection of test, input of demographic data, calculation of lifestyle/exercise calories, and manipulation of results if necessary without the use of a laptop. Reusable interface (mask, air line, etc) that can be properly sanitized/cleaned and used for multiple clients. Multiple interface options which allow the machine to work with treadmills for subVO2 testing to control the protocols. Additionally, machines need to be able to upload data on educator's computers for counseling and charting purposes. The COSMED Body Composition Unit (Bod Pod) was selected for the following specifications: Capability to measure body compositon Technology uses Air Displacement Plethsmography Measurements produced from test give client and educator amount of fat and fat free mass Technology has computer integration that provides customized printouts for educational tools for clients Digital scale is a component of the equipment and interfaces with the machine Equipment is new This notice is a requirement for the Guthrie Ambulatory Health Clinic at Fort Drum, NY. Parties interested in future announcements on this procurement shall provide detailed information of their capabilities and certifications to clearly meet the requirements stated above. Interested parties must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM), https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/.
