- This acquisition is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set aside. The National Park Service is seeking a contractor to furnish all materials, labor and equipment necessary to construct a new comfort station at the Jeff Busby site located at milepost 193 of the Natchez Trace Parkway. The work to be performed will include demolition of existing facility, site work, concrete work, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and other related work to construct a finished comfort station facility. The work also includes the installation of concrete sidewalks and a drinking fountain according to plans and specifications. Restrict work to construction area as shown on plans. The construction site will be closed to the public during construction. However, maintain access for National Park Service Administrative and other official business throughout the construction phase. Magnitude of this project is $175,000 to $200,000. The applicable NAICS code for this project is 236220 with a size standard of $33.5 million. This notice is not the solicitation. The Solicitation Package will be available via electronic commerce on fbo.gov and fedconnect.net on/or about August 8, 2013. SITE VISIT: Offerors are urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed. Site visit details will be provided when the full solicitation package is available. A Bid Bond is required with offers. Performance and Payment Bonds and Certificate of Insurance will be required of the successful offeror. All interested SDVOSB firms must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov, must be registered and verified as a SDVOSB at the VetBiz Vendor Information Pages at www.vip.vetbiz.gov and must have a current VETS-100 report on file at www.dol.gov/vets/programs/fcp/main.htm. The Notice to Proceed on the project will be issued at the discretion of the government and all work shall be concluded within 180 calendar days of the project start date. Bidders are cautioned to take the performance period into consideration when preparing their bid.
