- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Benning, Georgia is issuing a sources sought to determine the availability of potential small businesses (to include subcategories such as but not limited to, Women Owned (WOSB), HubZone, 8(a), etc) for a requirement. This is not a request for proposals or quotes. The information gathered will be used to make an informed business decision on how to procure this requirement. The Government is seeking businesses that can provide the C-IED Smart Book Version 2 (copyrighted product number KP-MIL-GEN07) manufactured by Gaia Communications doing business as (DBA) Kwikpoint Inc. PURPOSE: The purpose of this Sources Sought is to seek interested small businesses that can provide the copyrighted material found in the C-IED Smart Book Version 2. The preferred strategy is to procure this requirement as a Small Business Set-Aside. The Government will not award a contract based on this Sources Sought Notice, information received, nor reimburse participants for information they provide. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR TECHNICAL OR COST PROPOSALS. This is a request for small businesses interested in serving as prime contractors to submit a brief capability statement demonstrating how they could meet the requirements below: DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: This requirement is for CIED Smart Guides that would be provided to trainees at the IET sites and professional developmental courses that CIED training influences. This handbook would serve as a quick reference guide for life saving CIED Battle Drills that can be applied across all theaters of operation; not specifically Afghanistan, and address IED Components, IED Types and much more. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. All responses must provide the following: 1. Name of firm with address, phone, email and point of contact, CAGE Code and DUNS 2. Business Size and state if your firm is classified by the Small Business Administration under the NAICS code 323119. 3. Capability Statement SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Responses to this announcement must be received no later than 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, Monday, July 22, 2013. Interested firms may submit capability statements via email only to Shawndra.n.rhodes.civ@mail.mil No telephone requests will be honored.
