- Description
- The Department of Interior, Bureau of Reclamation, Pacific Northwest Region, Snake River Area Office (SRAO) has a need to upgrade its SCADA system for its Southern Idaho Powerplants. The work consists of the following: (1) SCADA Applications Software Updates; (2) Host Computer Updates; (3) SCADA Network reconfiguration to utilize the new SRAO Microwave; and (4) supply of a server and a router (equipment supplied will be enhanced to work with the existing SCADA system). The Government intends to negotiate a sole-source contract for the described work. The NAICS code for this work is 541511, Computer Software Support Services. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, the Government has determined that only one responsible source will satisfy agency requirements. The entity to which the Government intends to award is HSQ Technology, 26227 Research Road, Hayward, CA 94545-3725. HSQ Technology holds the copyright to the software that operates the existing SCADA system. As the copyright holder, HSQ Technology is the only entity capable of conducting the required work. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All capability statements received within 30 days after date of publication of this announcement will be considered by Reclamation. A determination by Reclamation not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of Reclamation. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
