- This announcement serves as notice to all potential offerors the 48th Fighter Wing Contracting Squadron (48CONS), Building 977, Boston Drive, Brandon, Suffolk, IP27 9PN, United Kingdom anticipates the release of a Request for Quote (RFQ) under solicitation number FA5587-13-T-0023 for a Nurse Call Station. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the solicitation is 423450-Medical, Dental, and Hospital Equipment and Supplies. 48 CONS is advertising its intent to post the RFQ on 22 July 2013, for a requirement for a Nurse Call Station at the 48th Medical Group hospital located at RAF Lakenheath. Contractor will commission all new equipment for a fully functional nurse call stations system; provide equipment manuals, customer orientation, and training. The contractor shall remove and dispose of all existing nurse call station equipment not required for the upgrade IAW UK laws and regulations. This shall include but not limited to bedhead components of the nurse call system, wiring, display boards, power supplies, etc. To the maximum extent possible the new system shall use as much of the existing wire to minimize disruption to the patients and hospital staff. The project will include the replacement or upgrade of: 14 each, toilet pull cords, 22 each, wall mounted bed heads equipped w/Code Blue Push Buttons, 11 each, wall mounted units with speaker capability, 1 each, nurse stations. There will be a site visit, date to be determined. This will be issued under full and open competition procedures, with an anticipated award date of 01 September 2013.
