- DESCRIPTION: THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. NO SOLICITATION IS BEING ISSUED AT THIS TIME. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS CONSIDERED MARKET RESEARCH. Responses to this Request For Information (RFI) are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract." NSN: 4730013207111 Item Description: Strainer Element, SE Manufacturer's Code: 18350 Part Number: WC-00394A-4B 53711 Part Number: 6310226-125 DLA Land and Maritime is preparing to solicit a long term contract (LTC) for the NSN listed above. Also shown are the currently approved manufacturers and associated part numbers for this NSN. While DLA Land and Maritime may have drawings/specifications associated with these NSNs, only the sources listed above are currently approved. This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s). The approved source(s) retain data rights, manufacturing knowledge, or technical data that are not economically available to the Government, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintaining the quality of the part. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activity's procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The qualification procedures must be approved by the Government engineering activity having jurisdiction over the part in the intended application.
