Description
This is a synopsis/pre-solicitation notice for service to design and build a shock enclosure suitable for use with the SAROS Oxygen System, Model 3000. It is intended to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) on a 100% small business set-aside basis. The RFQ will provide details with regard to scope, location, period of performance, etc. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) Philadelphia has established a requirement to design and build a shock enclosure suitable for use with the SAROS Oxygen System, Model 3000. The SAROS medical oxygen concentrator is being backfit aboard all Classes of submarine. Ultimately, each submarine will be equipped with three (3) SAROS medical oxygen concentrators. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and does not constitute a solicitation. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 332710. Upon its release, the RFQ will be made available electronically at https://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://neco.navy.mil. A hard copy of the RFQ will not be made available. Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be considered for award. See https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM / for further information and instructions. The RFQ is expected to be released on or after 25 July 2013.
