- For scheduling purposes, the information regarding the scheduled site visit will be posted prior to the issuance of the solicitation which should be posted no later than Jul 12, 2013. A site visit will be held on Jul 18, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at the Talladega Ranger District Office. Individuals may participate via teleconference if unable to physically attend the meeting at 888-858-2144, Passcode: 7875714. The Talladega National Forest in the National Forests in Alabama has requirement for rock milling surface/ road maintenance. The contractor is to provide all equipment, labor, materials, tools and other incidentals and execute all work necessary to perform 5-10 miles of rock milling surface maintenance on the designated National Forest roads on the Talladega Ranger District in accordance with the specifications and exhibits. The road milling machine and instruction/training for the operator (if needed) will be provided to the contractor as government furnished property; contractor shall provide operator for road milling machine, additional equipment for accomplishment of the work, and transportation of the rock milling machine. All work to be accomplished is located within the boundaries of the National Forests in Alabama, specifically the Talladega Ranger District, 1001 North Street, Hwy 21 North, Talladega, AL 35160. Specific locations and roads to be worked will be indicated in the solicitation. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The solicitation is expected to be posted around Jun 28, 2013 on this website. The estimated project magnitude is between $100,000 and $250,000. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. All interested parties are responsible for monitoring the Federal Business Opportunity website at http://www.fbo.gov for status of solicitation and amendments, if any. All interested parties must be registered with the System for award management (www.sam.gov).
