- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT TO BE USED FOR MARKET ANALYSIS IN DETERMINING THE AVAILABILITY OF SCANCAST SERVICES (RUNDWAY ICE DETECTION SERVICE. **NO AWARD WILL BE MADE FROM THIS SOURCES SOUGHT** **DO NOT SUBMIT A QUOTATION OR PROVIDE COST AND PRICING DATA** **NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME** ALL RESPONSES WILL BE USED TO DETERMINE THE APPROPRIATE ACQUISITION STRATEGY FOR THE POSSIBLE FUTURE ACQUISITION. Ellsworth AFB, SD is searching for companies interested and capable of providing Runway Ice Detection services for the Ellsworth AFB runway. The Runway Ice Detection System on base currently hosts an array of sensors both above ground and sub-surface that monitor temperature, and chemical level applied to the runway. Based on the data from Sensors treatment recommendations are recommended in order to ensure runway safety. In addition to this service, weather forecasting is included. Requirement: - ONLINE SERVICE AGREEMENT, 1 OCT 2013 - 30 SEP 2014 - RWIS MAINT AGREEMENT, 1 OCT 2013 - 30 SEP 2014 - WEATHER DATA FORECASTING, 1 OCT 2013 - 2014 Interested parties are requested to submit product specifications that shall include: CONTRACTOR INFORMATION: - Name - Address - Point of Contact (POC) - Product Technical Expert contact information - CAGE Code - Website, if applicable - A description of relevant product equivalency **Responses are due NOT LATER THAN 1:00PM MST, WEDNESDAY, 17 JULY 2013, and shall only be submitted electronically to: MICHAEL.SMITH2@ELLSWORTH.AF.MIL.** Primary Government Point of Contact: SSgt Michael S. Smith. Questions relevant to this notice shall be sent electronically to the above email address. NO PHONE INQUIRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED. All communication shall be in writing and submitted electronically with reference "Runway Ice Detection Services." Interested companies are encouraged to provide other solutions that may meet the required specifications and/or functional description.
