- Guinn Sample Contract Guinn Prospectus Guinn Bidder Form Guinn Bidder Letter Talladega National Forest Timber For Sale The Guinn IRTC Sale is located within T21S and R5E, Clay County, Alabama. The Forest Service will receive sealed bids at the Talladega National Forest, Talladega District office in Talladega before 10:00 AM local time on August 06, 2013 for a combination of timber and stewardship service work items associated with the project. Timber to be cut includes an estimated 326 CCF Southern Yellow Pine sawtimber, 383 CCF Hardwood sawtimber, 135 CCF Softwood-Other pulpwood, and 480 CCF Hardwood pulpwood. This Stewardship Contract also includes a mandatory stewardship project to be completed in relation to timber removal at a price determined by the bidder and includes 31 acres of Midstory Removal. Through this treatment all Hardwood trees between 2 and 6 inches Diameter at Breast Height will be cut. The contract also includes 131 acres of Midstory Removal as an optional stewardship project. Bids will be evaluated on a best value basis where bidders must submit a technical proposal describing how stewardship service work will be completed, as well as, a by product bid for the timber and the per unit rate for completing each stewardship service work item. Offers will not be publicly opened or disclosed. The Forest Service reserves the right to reject any and all bids. A prospectus, bid form, blank technical proposal form, blank past performance form and complete information concerning the timber, the service work required in this contract, and the process to submit bids is available to the public at the Talladega District Office, 1001 North Street, Talladega, AL 35160 or phone 256-362-2909.
