- The VA Palo Alto Health Care system (VAPAHCS) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with VisualSonics, Inc. The proposed contract action is for a Vevo 2100 Imaging System with accessories. "Must have high-frequency ultrasound system. "Must have a high-frequency transducer for the frame-rate capacity for imaging of anatomical structures of small animals. "Must have monitor for ultrasound probe. "Must have image-guided needle injection system. "Must have integrated tabletop anesthesia system. This sole source action is in accordance with the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Only One Responsible Source and no Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. THIS IS NOT A REQUST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer for consideration. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements. Responses are due by July 23, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses must be e-mailed to gail.rodriquez-roman@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. No reimbursement for any costs associated with providing capability statements will be provided by the Government.
