- Ladies and Gentlemen, The Regional Contracting Office (RCO) Vicenza intends to award a contract for the subject indicated above. The purpose of this Synopsis is to publicize the upcoming contract action. NUMBER AND TITLE OF THE PROJECT: Install a new irrigation system on the two (2) softball fields at Caserma Del Din, Vicenza, Italy. DESCRIPTION: This is a design building project to install an irrigation system on two softball fields. The system shall be tied into the existing domestic/fire water distribution system. A new underground water distribution system shall supply the water to various exposed sprinklers that shall be anchored around the perimeter fence of the two softball fields. METHOD OF COMPETITION: This requirement will be procured using full and open competition processes and procedures. FUNDING: The requirement is not funded at this time. Subject to Availability of Funds (SAF). PERFORMANCE SITE: The site for the work is the military installation in Vicenza (Caserma Del Din). PROJECT AMOUNT: The project amount is between $50,000 and $100,000. This amount is informational only. Offerors are not bound to submit an offer within that range. SELECTION CRITERIA: Will be firmly established in the solicitation. Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) is anticipated at this time. TYPE OF CONTRACT: The Government contemplates the award of a firm-fixed price (FFP) commercial contract. ANTICIPATED AWARD DATE: 21 August 2013. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Approximately 45 calendar days from date of award. SITE VISIT: The date of the site visit has not yet been determined. The site visit is projected to occur on one day between 8 July 2013 and 19 July 2013. Interested vendors will submit their request no later than 5 July 2013 to the following e-mail addresses: casey.e.gordon.mil@mail.mil and karl.w.geyer.civ@mail.mil, indicating in the email Subject: PSN, W912PF-13-R-0017, Softball Field Irrigation. The following information is required: name of the firm, address, phone and e-mail address. The request will include the information of the representative who will attend the site visit: First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, Citizenship, Type of Identification (Driver's License, Carte d'identit, or Passport), and the Serial Number of the Identification. This information will be submitted to the Provost Marshal to grant offerors access to the site. Additional information addressing the site visit will be detailed within the solicitation. Once the date has been established, all details will be sent to interest vendors who have submitted requests to the Government. REQUIREMENTS: In order to conduct business with the United States Government, all companies must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM).
