Description
Solicitation DESCRIPTION: The mission of MSC is to provide sealift for strategic mobility in support of national objectives. It executes its own contracts in support of its missions, and acts as program manager. MSC's mission supports the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) and the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO). Within MSC, the Command, Control, Communications and Computer Systems (C4S) Directorate (N6) is responsible for providing information technology (IT) support to all MSC Directorates and Program Managers. The C4S directorate provides the command with cost-effective, integrated, interoperable, reliable and innovative technological solutions and consistent standards to meet the command's needs. The Command, Control, Communications and Computer Systems (C4S) Directorate (N6) within Military Sealift Command (MSC), requires the ability to effectively manage MSC's IT resources by gaining access to IT research in the areas of trends, best practices, and products and services that is independent of a particular vendor. The MSC Chief Information Officer (CIO) has a requirement to identify, analyze, and organize aggregated and editorialized in-depth guidance on technology in order to maximize return on investment of N6's technology initiatives. N6 requires access to a searchable web-based IT commercial subscription service to acquire IT research in order to conduct operations, planning, and sealift activities for MSC.
