- STATEMENT OF WORK J- MODIFY THE PORT RESCUE BOAT DAVIT ENDSTOP HYDRAULIC SYSTEM ABOARD NOAA SHIP OKEANOS EXPLORER NOTICE DATE: JUNE 26, 2013 Notice Type: Pre-solicitation NAICS: 336611 - SHIP BUILDING AND REPAIRING Contracting Office: Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Eastern Regional Acquisition, 200 Granby Street, Suite 815, Norfolk, VA 23510 The National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Eastern Regional Acquisition, Norfolk, VA on behalf of Office of Marine and Aviation Operations (OMAO) is soliciting a requirement to modify the port rescue boat davit endstop hydraulic system aboard NOAA ship Okeanos Explorer, North Kingstown, RI. Provide all labor, material and equipment in accordance with the attached Statement of Work, "NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer - Rescue Boat Davit Endstop Hydraulic Piping Mods". This RFQ is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336611, which has a corresponding size standard of 1,000 employees. Solicitation number EA-133M-13-RQ-0497 will be issued June 27, 2013 and will close July 10, 2013. The total period of performance for all work specified in the Statement of Work is September 3, 2013 through September 20, 2013. A pre-bid inspection will be held on July 2, 2013 at 10:00 am ET. All interested parties are strongly encouraged to attend. The port engineer, Ken Marston, will be hosting the pre-bid inspection and can be reached at 508-495-2347. The Government anticipates awarding a firm fixed price purchase order to the responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, considering only price and the price-related factors specified in the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated award date is on or about July 12, 2013. Contractors are encouraged to register with the FedBizOpps Vendor Notification Service as well as the Interested Vendors List for this acquisition (see applicable tab within FedBizOpps where this synopsis/solicitation is posted).
