Description

Notice: Sole-Source Announcement The Denver VAMC Imaging Department, Colorado intends to negotiate sole-source acquisition with Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc to bring Toshiba application experts to provide refresher clinical training to current 7 staff CT technologists, with two CT technologist were newly hired. This on-site apps training consist of 2-days course specifically designed to our existing high cost/ high tech Aquillion CT 64-slice scanner by Toshiba. It's an overview of the CT system, peripheral devices (3D recon, i.e.) and their functional capability. The trainer will also provide new techniques in protocol settings especially with recent added CT procedures such as cardiac studies that require extensive knowledge to perform. Our techs will be taught CT imaging acquisition techniques using with best method acquisition (productivity) while reducing radiation exposure risk. The anticipated dollar value for the contract action is for $4,000.00. Toshiba designed this class only for Toshiba CT scanners because of Toshiba's proprietary design, and user interface and application characteristics.
