- THIS IS A SERVICE DISABLED VETERNAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE PROCUREMENT: This is a PRE-SOLICITION NOTICE ONLY. This solicitation is anticipated to issue as an Invitation For Bid (IFB) resulting in the award of a single firm fixed price (FFP) contract. Bids received in response to this solicitation shall be handled in accordance with procedures outlined in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 14. The solicitation will issue on or about 15 July 2013 and the anticipated bid opening date is 16 August 2013. The estimated value of this work is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. NAICS CODE: 237990. The proposed structure and improvements include constructing approximately 680 LF of underground box culvert from the upstream end of Soniat Canal to the formed suction intake of SELA-09 Harahan Pump to the River Pump Station. Site work will include the installation/construction of a cast-in-place concrete intake basin and box culvert, demolition, earthwork, temporary retaining structure system, masonry, metalwork and fabrications, clearing and grubbing, dewatering, asphaltic and concrete paving, chain link fence and gates, sodding, water line relocations, and installation of storm drainage structures and utilities. Equipment to be used in construction includes cranes, pile driving equipment, backhoes, dump trucks, concrete trucks, and general roadway construction equipment. The Government will not provide written paper copies of the solicitation. Telephone, written, facsimile, or e-mail requests for the solicitation package will not be honored.
