- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to extend the period of performance and increase the ceiling on the existing Power By the Hour (PBtH) contract N00019-09-D-0020 with Rolls Royce Corporation. The period of performance of the current contract ends on 31 July 2013. Delivery Orders under the existing contract will be extended 28 Feb 2014 under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 17.208f. Unless otherwise stated herein, no formal request for proposal or additional written information is currently available. Request for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is published for information purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Government intends to award this effort pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1. Therefore, a complete re-procurement data package is not available. Rolls Royce Corporation is the designer, developer, and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the AE2100D3 Engine. Rolls Royce Corporation retains the requisite knowledge, experience, technical capability and technical data required to meet the objective of this procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541330, the applicable Federal Supply Code (FSC) is J028, and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any money expended by any interested parties in support of the effort mentioned above. Information provided above is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for, or award a contract. This synopsis is published to notify industry of this impending action so that possible subcontracting opportunities may be pursued with Rolls Royce Corporation.
