- Description
- The Department of the Air Force, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC), Space, Aerial & Nuclear Networks Division intends to procure a 5-year effort to provide specialized engineering, operation, maintenance, and training support for the Royal Saudi Air Force’s (RSAF) six (6) Tactical Communications Group, LLC (TCG) Battlefield Operations Support System (BOSS) enabled Ground Support Systems (GSSs), located at six (6) geographically separated airbases and headquarters within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The effort is in the form of an in-Kingdom Subject Matter Expert (SME) qualified to provide the specialized services associated with the GSS. The Department of the Air Force, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC), Space, Aerial & Nuclear Networks Division intends to procure a 5-year effort to provide specialized engineering, operation, maintenance, and training support for the Royal Saudi Air Force's (RSAF) six (6) Tactical Communications Group, LLC (TCG) Battlefield Operations Support System (BOSS) enabled Ground Support Systems (GSSs), located at six (6) geographically separated airbases and headquarters within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The effort is in the form of an in-Kingdom Subject Matter Expert (SME) qualified to provide the specialized services associated with the GSS. The Government intends to award a Sole Source contract to Odyssey Systems Consulting Group (Odyssey), 201 Edgewater Drive., Suite 270, Wakefield, MA 01880 to supply the U.S. Air Force with a 5-year effort to integrate the GSS into the RSAF tactical data link (TDL) architecture, provide GSS operational and maintenance support, conduct GSS training, and support TDL testing for its FMS country, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A Sole Source Contract will be pursued with Odyssey under statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) set forth in FAR 6.302-1(a)(iii)(B), titled "Available only from the Original Source" and unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541712 and the business size standard is under 500 employees. This contracting action has an estimated value of $1.5M. Period of performance will be for five (5) years from the date of the contract award.
