- This is a notice of intent to award a sole source, Firm- Fixed Price (FFP) contract under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) - FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A)- Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to Vac-U-Max, 69 William Street, Belleville, NJ. The scope of the requirement is the purchase of two (2) Vacuum Conveyor Systems fully compliant with the Scope of Work (SOW) for equipment in the same design/configuration as previously provided to avoid duplicative testing/prove-out costs. Vac-U-Max is the manufacturer of this equipment and is the only known company at this time which can provide Tooele Army Depot (TEAD) with the system in the same design/configuration as successfully tested/proven-out. The requirement will be awarded by the Army Contracting Command- Rock Island and will be used at Tooele Army Depot, Tooele, UT. The NAICS code for this requirement is 333922. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive quotes. A Request for Quote (RFQ) will not be available for this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any firm that believes it can provide the stated equipment can provide supporting documents demonstrating their product's capability and specifications within five (5) days after date of publication of this notice of intent.
