- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a fixed price sole source task order to The Boeing Company to modify and expand the current F/A-18 Automated Maintenance Environment Maintenance Analysis and Planning Aid (FAME MAPA) diagnostic tool sets to increase its user applications by applying existing diagnostic and event detection capabilities developed under FY04 Readiness Reduction of Total Ownership Costs (R-TOC) to other subsystem record codes, under the Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-11-G-0001. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority 10 USC 2304 (C) (1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." Boeing is the designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the F/A-18 aircraft in its various configurations; and as such, is the only known firm with the knowledge, experience, and technical expertise required to accomplish this effort. This notice of intent is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation of offers. This synopsis is provided for information purposes only. A determination not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the United States Government.
