- Description
- The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment, and constructing the levee setbacks at levee Stations 668 and 777 of the Yazoo River in Humphreys County, Mississippi. Principle features of the work include mobilization and demobilization, clearing and grubbing, removing and stockpiling the existing crushed stone surface, demolishing and removing existing county road, excavation, semi compacted levee embankment, adding new crushed stone surfacing, mowing, turfing, sodding, storm water pollution prevention, and environmental protection. The estimated value of the proposed work is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Issue date on or about 10 July 2013. Plans and specifications will be available on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Web Page at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Bidders may register on the Interested Vendor's List (IVL) at http://www.fbo.gov/ and retrieve an IVL from the same location. Compact disc and hardcopies will not be available. Bidders are encouraged to check often for changes (AMENDMENTS) to posted solicitations. Bid Opening date on or about 13 August 2013, 1500 hours. Bid Opening may be viewed in person or online at http://www.mvk.usace.army.mil/BusinessWithUs/Contracting.aspx. THIS PROCUREMENT IS A SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. IT IS ISSUED UNDER NAICS CODE 237990, FSC CODE Y299, FOR A FIRM FIXED PRICE CONTRACT. RIGHTS OF WAY ARE NOT AVAILABLE; THEREFORE, BIDS WILL NOT BE OPENED AND CONTRACT AWARD WILL NOT BE MADE UNTIL ALL NECESSARY RIGHTS-OF-WAY ARE AVAILABLE. FUNDS ARE NOT PRESENTLY AVAILABLE FOR THIS ACQUISITION. NO CONTRACT AWARD WILL BE MADE UNTIL APPROPRIATE FUNDS ARE MADE AVAILABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH AFARS 5101.602-2.
