- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses interested in minor construction project at VA facility in Jackson, MS. NAICS to be used is 236220 with size standard of $33.5M. The range of magnitude is between $100,000 and $250,000. Set-aside will be 100% for SDVOSB. The Contractor shall provide all management, supervision, labor, materials and equipment necessary to renovate the Intake Processing Center and the Public Contact Area inside the Veterans Affairs Regional Office, 1600 East Woodrow Wilson Avenue, Jackson, MS 39216. The period of performance shall be no more than 90 days from issuance of the notice to proceed to completely finish the entire project. In order to provide continued support to our Veterans this project shall be accomplished in three phases. Phase one will consist of renovating the Intake Processing Center (IPC); Phase two will consist of renovating the Public Contact Interview Area; and Phase three will be the renovation of the Public Contact Work Area. The Contractor shall perform all work in accordance with statement of work (SOW) and directions from the Contracting Officer. Work will include demolition, installation of temporary wall to protect other areas from dust, electrical, lighting and drywall work, and replace wall covering and flooring. Also, contractor will be responsible for furnishing and installing specified workstations to match existing stations. Name Brand is HAWORTH Premise, and the panels shall be STRIAE fabric. Anticipated date of issuance and availability of hard copy of Request for Proposal (RFP) is on or about July 18, 2013. One site-visit will be scheduled and will be incorporated in the solicitation along with instructions for contractors. Upon request, drawings will be made available in CAD by the COR prior to solicitation closing date. Offerors are instructed to hold all questions until the RFP has been issued. NO PHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Questions will be accepted ONLY in writing. A list of the questions, along with answers, will be published on FBO through issuance of amendment to the solicitation. It is the responsibility of offerors to obtain all amendments and/or other applicable documents. Offerors will be required to submit references for past and/or present performance. Award will be made to the responsible offeror whose offer represents the best value to the government, taking into consideration technical and cost factors, and any associated sub-factors. Evaluation factors will be set forth in the RFP. Prior to award, offerors must be registered in CCR, now at www.sam.gov, and registration must be current. Also required, as SDVOSB you must be registered in VetBiz at www.vetbiz.gov and VETS-100 (DOL) at http://www.dol.gov/vets/programs/fcp/main.htm. Again, NAICS 236220 will be used in determining small business status of offerors. Email responses confirming interest in this project are welcomed.
