- Sample Cubical Wall Design - not exact Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS), Limestone, ME, is issuing a Sources Sought Announcement for high performing floor to ceiling cubical workstation Genius walls (or equivalent) including delivery and install to determine the interest, availability, capability and estimated cost for the first phase (12 workstations) as described below. The cubical workstation walls must be compatible with existing UNICOR Harmony group office furniture and support future reconfiguration. Project completion is anticipated for no later than September 30, 2013 for Phase 1. The NAICS code for this procurement is 337215. This purpose of this procurement is to obtain, design and install 35 Genius wall (or equal) supervisor workstations over a course of four phases spanning four fiscal years. The first phase is to be completed no later than September 30, 2013 and will be for 12 supervisor workstations for the DFAS-Limestone office located at 27 Arkansas Road, Limestone Maine. Very limited staging areas are available in the facility which will require installation upon delivery to the facility. DFAS Limestone will be responsible to complete all demolition of existing in-place cubicles/furniture and secure all electrical and communications lines hard wired within the facility. Also, DFAS Limestone will be responsible for relocation/additional sprinkler heads and air handling ducts. High performing floor to ceiling cubical walls as described below are required in order to complete the supervisor workstation. (See attached drawing for sample workstation.) Each phase will require similar specifications (although there may be slight variances) as defined in this first phase: • Eight 4 wall (stand alone) 12'L x 12'W x 8'H cubical workstations must extend to the existing facility ceiling (96 to 102 inches) with 36 inch wide doors and two 18'H x 32"W casement slide/crank open window installed on the uppermost portion of the door side cubical. • Four 3 wall co-joined workstations designed for one continuous row with doors and windows facing hallway (actual side to be determined). • Cubical workstations must have an 80" to 42" closable/lockable door with handle. • Cubical workstations will include two fixed windows on the upper door side of cubical. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT for planning purposes only. Market research is being conducted to determine if there are interested vendors with the capabilities and experience to perform the required work. All interested parties should submit a capabilities package to include business classification (i.e. SB, SDVOSB, HUBZone, etc..), as well as examples of no more than three projects completed within the last five years that included similar work specified above that will be required under this project and an estimated project cost (cost range is acceptable).
