- The United States Coast Guard Surfaces Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) has a need to buy numerous Caterpillar Main Diesel and Ship Service Diesel Generator Remanufactured parts to support the following Coast Guard Platforms: 418' WMSL, LEGEND Class National Security Cutter; 295' WIX EAGLE Class Training Cutter; 282' WMEC MATURE Class Medium Endurance Cutter; 270' WMEC FAMOUS Class Medium Endurance Cutter; 210' WMEC RELIANCE Class Medium Endurance Cutter; 225' WLB JUNIPER Class Seagoing Buoy Tender; 175' WLM KEEPER Class Coastal Buoy Tender; 160' WLIC INLAND Construction Tender; 110' WPB ISLAND Class Patrol Boat; 100' WLI INLAND Buoy Tender; 75' WLR River Buoy Tender; 65' WLR River Buoy Tender. A solicitation will be issued on or about June 6, 2013 for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format outlined in FAR Subpart 12.6, Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-65. The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). SFLC is seeking responses from all responsible sources, including large and small businesses (SB, SDB, WOSB, HUBZone, SDVOSB and VOSB) authorized Caterpillar dealers capable of supplying genuine CAT remanufactured parts. This requirement is assigned a NAICS code of 333618. Award will be made on or about July 19, 2013. Contract Type: The solicitation will result in one (1) award of a firm fixed price- five (5) year Indefinite Quantity Requirements contract. Under that contract, the Coast Guard will issue Delivery Orders (DOs) to the contractor for any parts required by Coast Guard cutters for Remanufactured Caterpillar Engine Parts. Orders may be issued by e-mail, facsimile, and orally (followed up in writing). Performance Period: The anticipated performance period for this requirement contract is from July 19, 2013 through July 18, 2018. For information regarding this acquisition, contact the Contracting Official listed herein. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor FBO postings. Interested parties must be registered in the System and Award Management (SAM). Comments are to be sent via email to Linda.C.Cho@uscg.mil no later than 2:00 p.m. eastern standard time May 31, 2013.
