- Sole Source. The Mission and Installation Contracting Command -Yuma, U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with the Directorate of Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Cactus Caf, located at USAYPG, Bldg. 451 Flame Avenue, Yuma AZ 85365 to provide meals to soldiers from 10 July 2013 to 16 August 2013. USAYPG is in a remote area, located approximately twenty-six (26) miles from the city of Yuma and MWR has the only food services facilities available within a reasonable commuting distance. MWR is also the only authorized entity to sell food on the installation. Award of this requirement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items Fac 2005-66, effective 01 April 2013. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 311991 with a standard size of 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provide these requirements, then you must respond by demonstrating your firm's technical capability to meet these requirements by 06 June 2013, 5:00 PM MST. Offerors are required to be listed on the U.S. Army Veterinary Command (VETCOM) Federal Approved Sources website http://vets.amedd.army.mil/86256F90007C2D1D/PHC. The website is updated and maintained daily to provide sanitarily approved food establishments for all Department of Defense procurement agencies.
