- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a fixed price sole source task order to The Boeing Company to procure 401 Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) parts to cover Distributed Targeting System (DTS) Program of Record (PoR) for Full Rate Production (FRP), under the Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-11-G-0001. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority 10 USC 2304 (C) (1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." Boeing is the designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the F/A-18 aircraft in its various configurations; and as such, is the only known firm with the knowledge, experience, and technical expertise required to accomplish this effort. This notice of intent is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation of offers. This synopsis is provided for information purposes only. A determination not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the United States Government.
