- The Warning Horn Replacement program is an effort to replace a potentially explosive horn that is no longer sustainable and creates a safety risk on the KC-135. This effort is a modification of the entire KC-135 Fleet that adheres to Air Force Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO) processes. TCTO requirements mandate that all modification be kitted (AFMAN 23-110 Vol. 3 Part 1). All kits shall contain two warning horns that meet the specifications spelled out in the Statement of Work, a forward bracket, an aft bracket, and connectors. There will be 398 kits ordered. Based on the market research, the warning horn replacement program will take approximately 12 months from contract award to final kit delivery. Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation.
