- The procurement will be for the complete rebuild and retrofit of the Computer Numerical Control (CNC), axes drives, and other designated components on (3) Horizontal Spindle CNC Machining Centers, 4 axes, Model: K&T Orion 2300, Serial #9290104- Watervliet # WV12688, Serial #9290105- Watervliet # WV12687, and Serial #9290103- Watervliet # WV12689, and the Pallet Control System, Serial # 9293166 - Watervliet # WV12690. The System to be upgraded will be the existing K&T Gemini Control system, control panel, two remote operator pendants, axes drive motors, axis positioning and feedback systems, and drive package and ancillary equipment. Solicitation is estimated to be released on April 29, 2013 at which time all specifications and solicitation documents will be released. This procurement will be 100% Total Small Business Set aside. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be evaluated by this agency. This solicitation will be issued electronically, therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Upon release of the solicitation, it will be available on the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi and will be listed under Army Contracting Command-Warren (ACC-WRN)(WVA). CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments that may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of offers may render your offer nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
