Description
SOLICITATION NUMBER NIHOF2012516: The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, supplies, parts (to include system components), supervision, equipment and related service to install new roadway lights, wiring and associated electrical distribution equipment as outlined in the attached design drawings and specifications. The work shall be conducted by the contractor in strict accordance with the contract and all applicable Federal, State and local laws, regulations, codes and directives. The contractor should include with their technical proposals a narrative phasing plan detailing how they plan to accomplish this project. This acquisition is being offered for competition limited to 8(a) Business concerns. The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) intends to issue a solicitation for a contractor to furnish all necessary labor, supervision, transportation, equipment, and supplies for the replacement of all NIEHS campus roadway lighting, parking lot lighting and other miscellaneous exterior lighting as defined in the design drawings. The project will include the replacement of control cabinets, conductors, and damaged sections of conduit. The contractor will be responsible for inspecting existing conduit for soundness and video inspecting the conduit if other inspection methods fail. This project will require coordination so as to not interrupt any more than 5 lighting fixtures and shall only interrupt lighting during daylight hours. Included below are key elements associated with this project. Key elements are meant to give an idea of the magnitude of the project but are in no way intended to encompass all aspects of the project.. This acquisition is being offered for competition limited to Service-Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business Concerns (SDVOSBC). (see note below) The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 238210 -- Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors The resultant contract will be a Firm Fixed Priced Contract in accordance with the solicitation procedures outlined in 15 FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. The tentative solicitation issue date is o/a May 15, 2012. All prospective offerors must be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available on the Internet only at: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No hard copies will be avail able. Note: Purpose of the SDVOSBC Program The purpose of the Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concern Procurement Program is to provide procuring agencies with the authority to set acquisitions aside for exclusive competition among service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns.
