Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, (VA) Program Contract Activity-Central, intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2); Only One Responsible Source Available, no other source will satisfy agency requirements. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with: Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc. ESRI 380 New York Street Redlands, CA 92373-8118. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Responses to this notice are due on or before April 29, 2013, 0800 EST by email to merrie.frost@va.gov. Point of contact for this notice is Merrie Frost, at merrie.frost@va.gov Contracting Office Address: Department of Veteran Affairs Program Contract Activity-Central 6150 Oak Tree Blvd Suite 300 Independence, OH 44131 OIA and VSSC are in need of ESRI software maintenance, updates, and support to sustain numerous products, in both production or in need of development. This will allow the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to be a leader in geospatial technology. This contract allow s the VA to purchase the maintenance required to sustain the current software already installed at the VA. ESRI software maintenance includes many features that are pertinent to the success of enabling geospatial technology within OIA, including software updates and technical support. ESRI is the only company that can provide maintenance on their software, which we currently have installed on our computers and servers and have been using since 2010.
