The Government will not pay for information and materials received in response to this synopsis and is in no way obligated by the information received. To achieve these objectives, the U.S. Department of State's Diplomatic Reception Rooms seeks information regarding the current "meta data vendor" market in the United States. This inquiry is for market research purposes only. We are seeking information from vendors with the ability to: •Assess various types of data, corrects information and associated computer and database codes, tags, and migrates key data from objects from an historical collection currently housed in a Mimsy CMS into a new CMS; •Identify an open source CMS application that can be used to maintain the objects identified by the Curator to be included in this system, and makes the necessary recommendations for hosting the application on a server other than that of the U.S. Department of State; • Identify, create, and integrate new metadata categories, terms, and tags for these historical objects using Dublin Core standards and adding, as required, new categories and terms specific to the collections and uses of the objects and rooms in the DRR collection; • Ensure that the resulting metadata and information architecture is web accessible and allows objects in the DRR Collection to link to related objects in partner collections by mapping and linking relevant tags, fields, categories and terms; • Migrate the objects to the approved CMS application and demonstrates the capacity to link to and from, and or to import objects from other collections for select digital exhibitions and applications; • Ensure the new CMS system is scalable to allow for multiple thousands of objects. • Create a template to add additional language and trains staff on entering additions and deletions to the CMS NAICS Code: 541519 Other Computer Related Services Interested sources are requested to submit an email delineating qualification, capabilities, and experience for providing these services.
