- The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity on behalf of the US Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine (USARIEM), is conducting market research to obtain and acquire industry information on the availability of companies who have proven capability for the development of physical testing standards for physically demanding military occupational specialties (MOSs). The requirement includes, but is not limited to: 1) conducting a detailed physical job analysis of the initial MOS to identify the essential tasks, working conditions, and physical demands; 2) develop and validate legally defensible physical assessments to determine an individual's (candidate) ability to perform the essential MOS tasks; 3) generate detailed documentation of the job analysis and validation process that will withstand legal challenge; 4) develop a test manual for use in assessing candidates for an MOS; 5) train USARIEM personnel in the physical assessment administration protocols and procedures; 6) ensure that the project results are in compliance with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) Uniform Guidelines and other professional and legal guidelines. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICIATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. PROPOSALS ARE NOT REQUIRED AT THIS TIME AND WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. Any information submitted is voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information that is submitted in response to this sources sought synopsis. Respondents having proven capability of satisfying the requirements stated herein should provide a narrative identifying business size (large business, small businss, and small disadvantaged business, etc.), applicable designators (service-disabled veteran-owned, HUBZone, woman-owned, etc.), experience performing the same or similar services and General Services Administration/Federal Supply Schedule information, if applicable.
