- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announces its intention to negotiate and award a sole source Firm-Fixed Price, Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to Life Technologies Corporation, 3715 Stately Road, Grand Island, New York, 14072. The period of performance will be 5 years for the laboratory supplies and reagents listed below. These supplies are necessary for the validation of routine standardized testing and are formatted to be conducted with the sequencing system machines currently in the CDC laboratories. CDC intends to solicit and negotiate this requirement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (c) and 41 U.S.C. 253(c)1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination to compete this procurement based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties who believe they possess the capabilities to satisfy this requirement should submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to meet this requirement. All responses should be received by April 26, 2013 at 2:00PM, Eastern Standard Time (EST). All responses must be in writing and must be sent via email to iom2@cdc.gov with the solicitation number referenced in the subject line. No phone calls will be accepted.
