- The Mission & Installation Contracting Command - Fort Drum, NY, 13602 is issuing a Sources Sought notice to assist in our market research and possible set aside determination. Only small businesses should respond. The Contractor shall provide all necessary resources, management, personnel, materials, transportation, supplies, and equipment, to provide storage and delivery of bagged crushed ice for Fort Polk, LA, 71459. Supply falls under NAICS Code 312113-Ice manufacturing with a size standard of 500 employees. Specifications for the crushed ice are below: Crushed Ice Storage and Delivery: The Place of Performance is Fort Polk, LA 71459; Crushed ice provided in both eight pound and forty pound bags; Ability to provide a mechanically cooled house (building or van) with the capacity to hold a minimum of 30,000 pounds of crushed ice in 40 pound bags; Ability to provide approximately thirty to forty cooled ice storage bins with the capacity to hold a minimum of 140-8 pound bags each; Ability to deliver crushed ice to the storage house and/or bins within 24 hours of receipt of individual telephonic or written orders; All facilities, equipment, and ice supplied shall meet the industry standard as well as local, state, and federal requirements for sanitation. The purpose of this market survey is to solicit interest and capabilities from vendors to develop an appropriate procurement strategy. Information gathered may provide direction to the type of set aside. The contract type is anticipated to be a FFP contract. Individuals or businesses interested in this requirement are requested to submit a statement of interest, with a subject of Fort Polk Crushed Ice, to kelli.j.rinard.civ@mail.mil. This statement shall include company information, DUNS number, CAGE code, size status under NAICS code 312113, relevant past performance on same/similar work dating back to the last three years and the company's capability to do this type of work, as well as a point of contact. Only responses submitted by e-mail will be considered. Current registration in SAM (https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/) is imperative prior to submitting your response. This is not a request for competitive quotes and will not result in a contract award. Since this a sources sought announcement, no evaluation letters and/or results will be issued to the respondents. No solicitation exists and vendors should not request a copy of a solicitation. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced at a later date. Fort Drum is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. Fort Drum will not accept telephone or fax inquiries regarding this notice. All information received will be considered market research. Fort Drum must receive all responses to this Sources sought notice by 4:00 pm Eastern Standard Time, 19 April 2013.
