- Description
- The Mission & Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Belvoir, located at 9410 Jackson Loop, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060, has issued a Firm Fixed Price Solicitation for Grounds Maintenance for Defense Acquisition University (DAU), located on Fort Belvoir, VA 22060 under Solicitation Number W91QV1-13-B-0001. The Defense Acquisition University (DAU) requires the services of a contractor to perform lawn and grounds maintenance at the Fort Belvoir, Virginia campus. The total paved area is approximately 201,000 square feet (sf). The total grass area is approximately four (4) acres. The work shall include the scheduling and performance of mowing, trimming, edging, hedge maintenance, shrub maintenance, flower bed maintenance, leaf removal, core aeration, seeding, and mulching, along with snow & ice removal as required. Organic debris such as leaves, grass clippings, pine straw, stumps, and woody debris from pruning and tree removal shall be removed from the site. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to maintain the grounds to the standards specified in the Performance Work Statement. The anticipated Period of Performance (POP) will be a base period of twelve (12) months with four (4) additional twelve-month option periods. This action is 100% set-aside for Small Business. The applicable North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS Code) is 561730, Size Standard $7.0 Million. Please ensure that the aforementioned NAICS code is incorporated into your current System for Award Management (SAM) entity profile at www.sam.gov. The Bid Opening date and time for submission of Bids is contained in the solicitation package. The solicitation notices and any/all amendments will be posted and available for viewing and downloading at Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) Website https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/ at no charge. No paper copies will be issued. When the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review the aforementioned site regularly for any updates/amendments to this requirement. All prospective bidders must have a Commercial and Government Entity Code (CAGE Code) and be registered in SAM at www.sam.gov. The Government issued a formal Invitation for Bid (IFB) for this requirement under the announcement number W91QV1-13-B-0001, on 15 March 2013. The formal announcement provides all final IFB documents associated with this requirement.
