- This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT. The Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD), 10221 Ave E, Bldg 1770, Corpus Christi, Texas, 78419 has an annual requirement for Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Repair Services for the UNIWEST ETC-2000 Semi-Automatic Eddy-Current Scanning Systems, Bar Code: R7643 and M5164 located at CCAD, Corpus Christi, Texas. CLIN 0001: Qty 2 - Calibration/Maintenance on (two) 2 UNIWEST ETC-2000 Semi-Automatic Eddy-Current Scanning systems, P/N 96000, S/N(s) 1007SH/1007CB and 1058SH/1059CB. CLIN 0002: Qty 1 - Repairs/Emergency service to repair 2 UNIWEST ETC-2000 Semi-Automatic Eddy-Current Scanner systems. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed priced sole source purchase order to United Western Technologies (UNIWEST), 122 S 4th Ave, Pasco, WA 99301. The contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization). The Government only knows of one source, the original equipment manufacturer. Proprietary application software is required to operate this equipment. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334515 and the Business Size Standard is 500. This solicitation is not a request for competitive quotes; however all quotes received by the closing date will be considered by the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This determination is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 11:00 a.m. Central Daylight Saving Time, April 17, 2013. As a result, this notice is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored
