- Solicitation AG-05G2-S-13-0012 The U.S. Forest Service intends to acquire by contract system analysis and administration services for the Seattle Scientific Computing Center, which is located at the Pacific Wildland Fire Sciences Laboratory in Seattle, WA. The project involves: evaluating the current system; making recommendations on how to improve the system to meet the government's needs; implementing such recommendations; maintaining the system; and responding to system failures, some of which may be critical in nature. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation and is set aside for small businesses. The applicable NAICS code is 541513 - Computer Facilities management Services -- and the corresponding size standard is $25.5 million. Quotes are due on May 3, 2013, and may be submitted by mail or e-mail. Award will be made to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation is determined to be most advantageous to the government based on an evaluation of the following factors: price, relevant experience, past performance, qualifications of key personnel, and responsiveness to system failures. Responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in SAM on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award. Offerors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by visiting www.sam.gov. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested at this time.
