- This letter justifies the need for the Premium Service Agreement versus the Standard or Standard Plus Service Agreement. The Sole Source Letter attached explains the reasons behind a sole source acquisition. Air Force Test Center, Installation Contracting, Eglin AFB, FL, intends to solicit and award a sole source firm-fixed price contract for premium maintenance on the Pegasus-Hikari A40 Analyzer System to EDAX Inc. of Mahwah, NJ, 07430, Cage: 1DCY0, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. The period of performance must begin on 5 April 2013 to avoid interruption in service. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this acquisition is 811219, small business size standard: $19 M. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals/quotes. However, the government will consider all responses received within 5 days of publication. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. All responses received within five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. Responses shall be submitted electronically to erika.martin@eglin.af.mil concerning this acquisition.
